
Monticello-The home of Thomas Jefferson, the author of the Declaration of Independence and the third President of the United States (1801-1809).
Located in Charlottesville, Virginia Monticello was Jefferson's home for the last fifty six years of his life. Jefferson spent forty years designing it,redesigning it, modifying it and then finally completeing it. During his years at Monticello, Jefferson designed and invented many things which are currently on display at Monticello.His library contains thousands of books in seven languages.
